For 2009-2010, Central Bedfordshire Council has set the academic year at 194 days.
Pupil contact will amount to 190 of the 194 days. Schools will be closed on four of the 194 days. These four days will enable teacher training to take place in accordance with Teachers’ Conditions of Service. One other teacher training day will be held on a date outside the 194 days specified by Central Bedfordshire Council.

The training day dates will be listed with the term times and also in the events calendar.
