Welcome to Watling Nursery!
At our nursery, we care for children aged 2-4.
Starting nursery is an important milestone in your child’s life and for you as a parent. Our staff are nurturing, friendly and are committed to encourage the children’s all-round development through play and the learning opportunities we provide. At Watling Lower School we firmly believe that a key factor in helping children develop and achieve, lies in the relationship between home and Nursery and we work hard to ensure there are as many opportunities as possible for parents/carers to work with us.
Caterpillars Class (2-3 year olds)
Caterpillars class is currently open for morning sessions Monday - Friday which runs from 9.00am through to 12.00pm. We recommend that your child attends at least 2 morning session a week. We accept both funded and non funded children, funding is available for up to 15 hours of childcare per week for eligible 2 year olds. Our current rate is £18 per session (£6 per hour) for those children who will not be eligible for funding.
We will endeavour to move your child up to Butterflies class the term after they turn 3, however this will be subject to availability.
Butterflies Class (3-4 year olds)
Butterflies class is open 9.00am through to 3.30pm Monday - Friday and we accept both universal 15 hours of nursery education funding and 30 hours of free childcare. Our sessions run as follows, depending on the type of funding your child receives. For more information on this please visit: https://www.childcarechoices.gov.uk/
Universal 15 hours: 9.00am - 12pm OR 12.30pm - 3.30pm Monday - Friday. This equates to 15 hours per week (3 hours per day).
30 hours free childcare: 9.00am - 3.30pm. This equates to 32.5 hours per week (6.5 hours per day). The extra 2.5 hours per week will need to be paid for at a current rate of £11.25 per week.
