Learning Support Assistant (Teaching Assistant)

Our children love school and love learning; we need someone to join us who can match their energy and enthusiasm to make the most of every learning opportunity. The right person will be passionate about working with children and committed to seeing them reach their full potential.

You will have a kind and caring nature and contribute positively to the friendly and dedicated team at Watling. You will hold a relevant qualification and have experience of working in a similar role recently.

The role is to support our Year 1 class in the afternoons, but also to provide lunch cover for the first part of the afternoon. The ability to work flexibly across age ranges is preferred and although the role is offered for afternoons only, it has the capacity to grow for the right person.

Watling Lower School is a one-form entry, Ofsted rated ‘Good’ school catering for children from 2 to 9 years in age near the centre of Dunstable.

Visits to the school are welcome and highly recommended. Due to the COVID-19 epidemic, we will only be able to offer a limited tour during school time, but a fuller tour outside of school hours.

Closing date: 15th September at 3.30pm

Interview date: Friday 18th September (time to be confirmed)
