Stormbreak is a charity who have developed a series of movement breaks that are designed to help improve the mental and physical health of pupils. The short sessions, called 'stormbreaks', aim to improve children’s mental health through movement, equipping them with sustainable, transferable skills and coping strategies to thrive during the complex demands of growth into adult life.
Each Stormbreak focuses on an aspect of mental wellbeing and helps children to understand the concept and how to recognise and cope when they may find that aspect challenging. They follow this up with an activity that reinforces what they have learnt but that is also fun and gets them moving.
